Embark on a self-guided journey along the Camino Portugués Coastal Route, starting from Porto and walking through Portugal’s stunning coastal landscapes to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. This journey covers approximately 280 km of breathtaking seaside views, charming villages, and rich cultural history. Walk at your own pace while immersing yourself in one of the most scenic and peaceful routes of the Camino de Santiago.

What Awaits You

Day 1: Arrival in Porto.
Comfortable hotel in Porto. Arrive in Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage city. Spend the day exploring the vibrant streets, riverside, and cultural landmarks before you begin your pilgrimage.

Day 7–12: Vila do Conde to Figueira da Foz.
Comfortable guesthouses and local hotels.
Continue along the coast with a mix of beach walks, forests, and picturesque towns like Arouca. Enjoy the serenity of quiet paths leading you to the seaside town of Figueira da Foz.

Day 19–24: Nazaré to Óbidos.
Stay in cozy rural accommodations.
Walk through peaceful countryside and small villages, with a visit to the medieval town of Óbidos, famous for its preserved castle walls and beautiful streets.

Day 31–34: Santiago and Departure.
Comfortable hotel in Santiago.
Spend your last days exploring Santiago de Compostela, visiting the Cathedral and wandering through the Old Town. Time for relaxation, reflection, and closure of your Camino experience.

Day 2–6: Porto to Vila do Conde.
Comfortable guesthouses and hotels.
Begin your pilgrimage walking along Portugal’s scenic coastline, passing through beach towns like Matosinhos and Vila do Conde, offering stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 13–18: Figueira da Foz to Nazaré.
Stay in charming hotels and guesthouses.
Walk through lush green forests, vineyards, and tranquil landscapes. Reach the famous coastal town of Nazaré, known for its towering waves and beautiful ocean views.

Day 25–30: Óbidos to Santiago de Compostela. Comfortable guesthouses and boutique hotels.
Continue walking through the lush landscapes of Galicia, entering Spain and reaching Santiago de Compostela. Reflect on your journey at the iconic Santiago Cathedral.
